At PUCRS, five PET Groups operate in the areas of Biology, Computer Science, Literature, Psychology, and Industrial Chemistry, developing initiatives under the guidance of a faculty mentor that provide students with the opportunity to broaden their academic and civic development experiences.
The objective of the groups is to contribute to raising the quality of academic education, encourage the training of highly qualified professionals and teachers, and promote critical thinking and professional practice guided by ethics and the social function of higher education.
Among the activities promoted by the PET Groups, there is the InterPET event, in which extracurricular integration activities are carried out involving the internal and external community of PUCRS.
