Halloween-lovers will rejoice as two Spirit Halloween locations will open this season in Tyler.
One store will be located at 4516 S. Broadway Ave. Suite C in the French Quarter Shopping Center, a space once home to Pier 1 Imports. The other location will be at 8950 S. Broadway Ave., inside the former JoAnn Fabrics next to Planet Fitness in The Village at Cumberland Mall. Renovations are still underway at the Cumberland Mall store.
While the seasonal retailer has said both pop-up stores will open in August, the ghouls are getting restless as an exact date has not yet been announced. Last year, the Tyler store opened on Sept. 10.
Now in its 42nd year, the store has promoted Halloween “from a single day of excitement into a season-long celebration, with so many enthusiasts showcasing their love for Halloween all year long,” the website states. The store says it “has everything Halloween fans need, from the classics to the hottest new trends.”
The store stocks virtually everything from costumes to makeup and decor for upcoming celebrations. Costumes for all ages are sold at the store.

The local fast-food restaurant will be located at 13970 State Highway 110. The new location is south of the Grande Boulevard intersection on the west side of Highway 110, just before Toll 49, heading toward Whitehouse.
A filing on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation states construction was expected to begin around Aug. 15. Crews were spotted Monday morning clearing trees and brush to make room for the $1.2 million restaurant, which is expected to be completed by mid-December this year.
This will mark the fourth Jucys Hamburger location in Tyler. There are three locations in Longview and one each in Marshall, Gilmer, Palestine, Carthage, and Henderson. The franchise also operates Jucys Taco, which has one location in Tyler, three in Longview, and one in Marshall.
Established in 1980, Jucys is family-owned and operated. The hamburger joint serves freshly-grinded beef burgers, fries, sandwiches, chicken, salads, and more.
